Perumal Murugan

Perumal Murugan is one of the most respected contemporary Tamil writers. Born in 1966, he writes serious literary fiction that takes on big social themes including caste, gender, sexuality, and rural Tamil life. His novels have been translated into many languages and his international reputation keeps growing.
