Sivasankari

Sivasankari is one of the most respected Tamil novelists alive today. Born in 1942, she has been writing for over five decades. Her work focuses on the lives of Indian women — their struggles, their relationships, their inner conflicts. She has won the Sahitya Akademi Award and the Padma Shri (one of India's highest civilian honors).
